Blake Ward at Galerie Saint Dizier

Galerie Saint-Dizier was founded in 1995 by Brian Brisson, then a 25 year old art enthousiast. In 2002, the gallery’s success led to its expansion, taking over the neighbouring space to become what the gallery is today, a 5000 square foot space located at 24 Saint-Paul Street West.

Our mandate since day one is to discover and introduce to our clientele contemporary Canadian artists by means of exhibitions, fairs and the publication of catalogues dedicated to their artworks.

Galerie Saint-Dizier is presently showing several sculptures in bronze from The Spirit collection. These modern interpretations of the classical figure introduce an interior aspect to the work, the idea of the inner spirit as a part of our existence resonates with the desire to abstract the figure by retaining only a fragment of the whole.
